How Best Disinfection Capability can the XGerm Phone UV Sanitizer perform?

By Anna Li 0 comments

Ultraviolet light is an effective disinfectant that kills bacteria and viruses in the home. However, not all "purple lights" can effectively kill bacteria.

There are different types of UV disinfection boxes on the market. Do you know whether these UV disinfection boxes can effectively kill bacteria? In the following, we want to test the performance of the Lexuma XGerm series.

The UV-C light can kill bacteria and viruses within a specific few minutes. When buying a UV sterilizer, you need to make sure that it uses a UV C light. Otherwise, bacteria and viruses cannot be killed.

If you want to test whether the purchased ultraviolet disinfection box can kill bacteria, you can buy ultraviolet quick inspection test paper to check whether the generated ultraviolet-C lamp meets the standard.

The 4 models of the XGerm series have been tested with UV quick inspection test paper. The purpose of this test is to indicate whether the UV-C light emitted by the XGerm series models meets the UV light intensity standard. According to the instructions of the UV test paper, the UV intensity of the new UV lamp should be equal to or greater than 90μW/cm2; for the used UV lamp, the UV intensity should be equal to or greater than 70μW/cm2.

Before testing the UV sterilizer, we should first open it for 5 minutes. Then, put the ultraviolet quick check test paper into the ultraviolet disinfection box and open it. After 1 minute, stop the UV disinfection process and take it out.

Since all the XGerm series products used for testing have been used more than once, the UV intensity exceeds 70μW/cm2 to meet the standard. We can see the result below, the square in the middle turns purple. Most of them are dark purple, only XGerm has a lighter color. As a result, all XGerm series models can meet the UV intensity test.

There are many UV sterilizers on the market, some of which do not use UV lamps. It cannot help you kill bacteria and viruses in everyday products. Even if some of them can produce UV-C lamps, if they cannot meet the UV intensity standards, they cannot kill bacteria and viruses.

It is recommended to obtain UV quick inspection test paper to test your UV disinfection products. It can ensure that your products can be perfectly sterilized.

The UV quick check test paper is for your reference only. It cannot reflect the full performance of killing bacteria and viruses. You should refer to the detailed performance of disinfection in the seller's laboratory report. If the seller cannot provide a laboratory report, it is not recommended to purchase the product.
